RHINELANDER PERSONAL ESSENTIALS PANTRY
The Personal Essentials Pantry has been operating since 2008 and now serves over 950 households in Rhinelander and surrounding communities. PEP provides basic products necessary for personal and household cleanliness and good health. Personal essentials such as soap, toilet paper, laundry detergent and toothpaste are expensive and not covered by the Food Share Program.
Thanks to business connections, bulk buying, and generous discounts, PEP is able to buy an impressive number of essentials for less than what you or I are pay to purchase them.
PEP depends totally on private donations and grants, including the United Way. Your donations help provide funds to purchase items needed to keep families and their homes clean and healthy. PEP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Checks may be made out to “PEP.” Churches and individuals can send all contributions to the Rhinelander First United Methodist Church, 724 Arbutus St.
PEP Distribution days are the second Monday of each month from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and the last Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon. PEP is located at the First United Methodist Church on the corner of Wabash & Prospect streets. The entrance is located on Wabash Street under the carport.
New PEP volunteers are always welcome. Orientations are held on distribution Saturdays every month. Phone ahead to participate in orientations. For more information about PEP eligibility, volunteering, or to arrange a speaker for your organization, please call 715-362-2091.
